Green Tea Red Pepper Sauce

This simple, easy-to-make sauce adds character to any dish you create. Garlic, sun-dried tomatoes and bell peppers give this sauce a fresh flavor, with the slight bite of rice vinegar offsetting the natural sweetness of the ingredients. Try it on whatever you’re grilling this weekend!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh or bottled red bell peppers
  • 1/4 tsp. matcha green tea powder
  • 4 ozs. hot water
  • 1 oz. of sun dried tomatoes
  • 2 tbls. of rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 tbls. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. white or black pepper

Directions:

  1. Briskly stir matcha in hot water until dissolved. Combine all ingredients into a blender and process until smooth. Use immediately or store in sealed container and refrigerate up to one week. Use for topping Noodles, Rice and meat or fish dishes.
